Woodinville opened the week with a 75-54 win over Issaquah on Wednesday. The Falcons dashed ahead to a solid lead in the first quarter and didn’t look back, leading by double digits for the entire second half. Woodinville controlled the paint, out-rebounding Issaquah and blocking six shots, while also passing the rock well, turning in 20 assists. Jaecy Eggers led the team with 18 points, Hailey Quiggle and Jazlyn Wilkerson chipped in with 16 and 15 points respectively, and Lyla Kahrimanov had a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds, surpassing the 1000-point mark for her high school career.
The Falcons then rolled through Mount Si at home on Friday, winning 75-38. Woodinville led 18-7 at the end of the first quarter and only widened the gap, leading 43-21 at halftime and 65-28 at the end of the third quarter. Woodinville finished the week with a 62-33 road win against North Creek on Saturday. It was a similar story for the Falcons, who jumped out to a sizable lead by the second quarter and controlled the game the rest of the way. The Woodinville defense shone once more, holding North Creek to a field goal percentage of just 22%, the second straight game in which the Falcons held a team to under 25% shooting. In addition, the Woodinville defense forced 9 steals and 3 blocks, leading to extra possessions for the Falcons. Lyla Kahrimanov and Hailey Quiggle were the only Falcons with double figures, with 15 and 10 points respectively.
With the three victories, the Falcons improved their season record to 12-2 and remained undefeated in KingCo conference play, holding a record of 7-0. Next week, Woodinville has two conference games: a road matchup against Eastlake on Wednesday and a home game against Skyline on Friday.
