After Woodinville High School Theater Company’s stellar production of the comedic musical Legally Blonde and their thought-provoking performance of The Laramie Project, it will be exciting to see what their latest production, Curtains, will have in store.
A member of the ensemble, Asher Wheeler, was asked what he appreciated most about working on the musical. “Everyone learns quickly and gets what they need to do done,” Wheeler said in response. “It’s fun to use the acting skills that I have even if it’s a smaller role. It’s fantastic to get up in front of people for their enjoyment. As mentioned in one of the songs (in Curtains), the people pay to sit in the audience to watch the musical and clap and enjoy what we have put on.”
Wheeler encouraged people to come to see the play: “A lot of work has gone into (Curtains) and everyone should come if they can. Their fellow students are putting on a show…it will be worth it.”
Wheeler also provided a synopsis. “It’s a comedic murder mystery. It may start out as a typical musical, but it gets a lot more interesting as it goes on.”
Performances for Curtains will take place on February 2-4 and 9-11. More information can be found on the WHS website. Tickets for reserved seating are first come first served.
