Marble pillars, Julius Caesar, olive branches, Percy Jackson. What does “An Evening in Athens” mean for this year’s Homecoming theme?
Well, parents might notice some white curtains missing on the 15th.
A lot of students are starting to ask if we’re supposed to coordinate our outfits with the theme, and luckily, the general consensus was that the theme applies mostly to the decor rather than clothing!
As for overall opinions about the theme, some students described it as “boring,” others didn’t have a particular opinion, another mentioning that they’re “scraping the bottom of the barrel,” as they have to come up with a new theme every year. On the other hand, a few mentioned that it could come out nicely.
I, personally, think it has the potential to be very elegant. I’m confident that the students involved are doing a phenomenal job on the decor.
